Engagement in Indiana
Purdue Homeland Security Institute has
contracted with the Indiana Department of Homeland Security to
coordinate and conduct emergency response exercises in Indiana
Districts 3 and 4. The Districts completed tabletop exercises in
September and October and are now planning for the full-scale
exercises to be held Jan 20th in District 3 and Jan 27th
in District 4. Both exercises will comprise a WMD component (as
required by the contract with IN DHS) and will test the Districts’
emergency responders’ ability to react as a District team to various
catastrophic events to save lives, minimize suffering, and preserve
property.
