Entrepreneurial Programs & Intellectual Property Development

Entrepreneurial Programs and Intellectual Property Development create and develop linkages between the Burton D. Morgan Center for Entrepreneurship and the Office of Technology Commercialization. A key objective is to accelerate research that will result in Intellectual Property commercialization from Discovery Park projects through license to existing companies or through faculty start-ups. Ms. Goonewardene is the key contact for faculty throughout campus regarding entrepreneurship. She is also the Purdue Research Foundation communication contact for Discovery Park.

Services offered include analysis to understand if a particular piece of Intellectual Property is more suited to a licensing opportunity or to be the basis for a faculty start-up. Additionally the Burton Morgan Center for Entrpreneurship is creating educational opportunities for the faculty to understand the entrepreneurial process and for initial Discovery Park start-ups. Ms. Goonewardene represents the Entrepreneurship Center to faculty on campus and to industry partners, entrepreneurs, alums and investment partners involved with Discovery Park in general and the Center in specific.
